On Sunday night in Herning, during the game between Herning Blue Fox and Rungsted Seier Capital. Rungsted Head coach Håkan Åhlund was assessed a game misconduct penalty for Verbal Abuse of Officials.

During a stoppage of play and a routine line change procedure, Håkan Åhlund made gestures directed at the on-ice officials with the intention of publicly demeaning the official.

He was immediately ejected from the game and ordered to leave the bench. These actions from anyone involved in the Metal Ligaen are unacceptable and will not be tolerated, especially from a head coach who is meant to lead by example.
